Outline | The Nippon Foundation has been supporting Nikkei (Japanese emigrants and their descendants) communities in Central America, South America, and Asia for roughly 50 years. In collaboration with the Japanese American National Museum of Los Angeles, the Foundation conducted the first global awareness survey of young Nikkei aged 18 to 35. The survey was intended to strengthen ties between Nikkei around the world and Japan and to create an online platform for the creation of Nikkei communities at the global level. |
