Q. I am planning to attend a university overseas. Does The Nippon Foundation provide scholarships for people like me?
A. We only provide direct financial support to nonprofit organizations, not directly to individuals. We support various scholarship programs, most of which are run by our counterparts. Please visit the scholarships and fellowships page for details of each scholarship program. You can find details of the eligibility requirements and application process on the website listed for each respective program.
Q. I am conducting scientific research at my university. Does The Nippon Foundation provide anything in the way of research grants?
A. In general, we do not support scientific research being carried out by individuals. For further information, please see What We Do.
