The Nippon Foundation Announces Partnership with LFC FoundationNew project to support children through sport

The new partnership was launched on July 29 at a press conference at The Nippon Foundation’s Tokyo head office ahead of the men’s first team pre-season friendly against J1 League side Yokohama FC on Wednesday, July 30.

As part of the new relationship, the two foundations will deliver a large-scale program in Japan that will proactively address social issues in the community and help build a society where everyone supports each other. 

The Nippon Foundation and the LFC Foundation will work together to engage with children from all backgrounds and raise their aspirations through new opportunities, giving them the skills to tackle social issues as well as advancing the sporting landscape in Japan. The program will particularly look to engage with children and young people who are not accessing other programs and are in danger of becoming socially isolated.

Matt Parish, chief executive of the LFC Foundation, said, “We are delighted to have partnered with The Nippon Foundation and provide new opportunities for young people in Japan and can’t wait to see the positive outcomes for those who take part in the program.
